Tannic acid is extracted from gallnut and is also called tannic acid. It is soluble in water and more soluble in hot water, and its aqueous solution is weakly acidic. It can be hydrolyzed by enzymes or acids to obtain glucose and gallic acid after hydrolysis. Tannic acid can exert a variety of properties in different fields, so it is widely used in many fields such as medicine, industry, cosmetics and food.
