1. Active ingredients
• 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP): The core component of Griffonia seed extract, accounting for 3%-7% of the dry weight (standardized extracts can reach more than 98%). As a metabolite of tryptophan, 5-HTP is a precursor of serotonin (5-HT) and melatonin. It directly passes through the blood-brain barrier, increases the level of central neurotransmitters, and regulates mood, sleep and appetite.
• Polyphenols and alkaloids: Assists in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory functions and protects nerve cells.
2. Plant sources
• Dried seeds of the leguminous plant *Griffonia simplicifolia* from Ghana, Ivory Coast and other places in Africa. The seeds are oblong, with black seed coat, yellow-green endosperm, and a slight bean flavor.

1. Mood and sleep regulation
• Antidepressant: Improve anxiety and depression symptoms by increasing serotonin levels. Clinical studies have shown that 400-900 mg 5-HTP per day can significantly reduce depression scores, and the effect is comparable to that of some antidepressants.
• Improve sleep: Serotonin is converted to melatonin to regulate the sleep cycle and relieve insomnia.
2. Weight management
• Appetite suppression: Block sweet taste receptors and reduce the desire for carbohydrates. Clinical trials have shown that 750 mg per day can reduce carbohydrate intake by 22%.
• Fat metabolism: promoting fat oxidation, obese patients lose an average of 5%-6% of their weight.
3. Neurological and cardiovascular protection
• Neurodegenerative diseases: Studies have shown that 5-HTP has a potential intervention effect on Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
• Blood pressure and lipid reduction: Regulate endothelial function and reduce the risk of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation.
4. Anti-inflammatory and immune regulation
• Inhibit the NF-κB pathway, reduce the release of inflammatory factors such as TNF-α and IL-6, and relieve arthritis and chronic inflammation.
1. Medicine and health products
• Antidepressant capsules: compounded with St. John's wort and saffron, used as an auxiliary treatment for mood disorders.
• Weight loss meal replacement: combined with Garcinia cambogia extract to control calorie intake.
2. Functional foods
• Sugar-free beverages: as a natural sweetness inhibitor, replacing artificial sweeteners.
• Sports supplements: improve endurance and accelerate recovery after exercise.
3. Daily chemicals and animal feed
• Pet sedatives: relieve pet separation anxiety and improve sleep quality.
• Feed additives: enhance poultry immunity and reduce the use of antibiotics.
