Geranium extract is derived from plants of the genus Pelargonium (Pelargonium graveolens or Geranium maculatum), and is obtained from leaves or stems through water extraction, alcohol extraction or supercritical CO2 extraction techniques. It is rich in tannic acid, flavonoids (such as quercetin) and volatile oil components (such as geraniol, geraniol). It has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and is widely used in skin care products, medicinal preparations and natural preservatives. It is hailed as the "natural balancer of the plant world".

Antibacterial and anti-acne
It has inhibitory effects on Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus aureus (MIC 0.5%-2%), and is suitable for oily and acne-prone skin.
