Product Description

 

Polygonatum odoratum is a perennial herb of the Asparagaceae family and the genus Polygonatum. Its rhizome is cylindrical, with a diameter of 5 to 14 millimeters and a height of 20 to 50 centimeters. The leaves are alternate, elliptical to ovate-oblong, with a green surface and a grayish-white back. The inflorescence is axillary, with 1 to 4 flowers (up to 8 in cultivation), the perianth is yellowish-green to white, and the berries are bluish-black when ripe, containing 7 to 9 seeds. It is widely distributed in the temperate regions of Eurasia. It can be found wild or cultivated in many provinces of China such as Heilongjiang, Jilin, Hunan and Zhejiang. It is commonly found under the forest or on the shady slopes at an altitude of 500 to 3,000 meters
