Scutellaria baicalensis extract powder is a natural plant extract prepared from the dried root of Scutellaria baicalensis, a plant of the Labiatae family, by water extraction, ethanol extraction or acid-base precipitation. The core active ingredients are baicalin and baicalein, and it also contains wogonin, flavonoids and volatile oils. It has a light yellow to brown powder, a slightly bitter taste and moderate water solubility. Scutellaria baicalensis is used in traditional Chinese medicine to clear away heat and detoxify, dry dampness and stop bleeding.
