| Schisandra chinensis extract powder is derived from the dried mature fruits of Schisandra chinensis, a plant of the Magnoliaceae family, and is prepared by water extraction, ethanol extraction or supercritical CO2technology. The core active ingredients include Schisandrin, Deoxyschisandrin and γ-Schisandrin, and are also rich in polysaccharides, lignan compounds and organic acids. It appears as a brown to dark brown powder with unique "five flavors" (sour, sweet, bitter, spicy and salty), moderate water solubility, and is widely used in the fields of medicine, food and cosmetics. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it belongs to the lung, heart and kidney meridians, and has the effects of astringency, strengthening qi and promoting the production of body fluids.
