This product belong to the broad-spectrum drug resistant parasites.
Ivermectin for a variety of most of the life cycle of nematodes (but not all nematodes) role; For dish tail filarial microfilariae effectively, but for adult worms; For only in intestinal fecal round worms are also effective.
1. Antiparasitic mechanism:
• By enhancing the activity of glutamate-gated chloride channels, it causes hyperpolarization of parasite nerve and muscle cells, blocks nerve signal transmission, and eventually causes paralysis and death.
• It is effective against nematodes (such as roundworms, hookworms) and arthropods (such as scabies mites, lice), but ineffective against tapeworms and flukes.
2. Pharmacokinetics:
• Oral absorption is good, the peak blood drug concentration (Cmax) is reached in 4-5 hours, the half-life is about 18 hours, 93% is bound to plasma proteins, and is excreted in the feces after metabolism by liver CYP450.
• Low blood-brain barrier penetration and high mammalian safety.

1. Human medicine:
• Parasitic infections:
River blindness (onchocerciasis): single oral dose of 150-200 μg/kg, annual dose can prevent blindness.
Strongyloidiasis: single dose of 200 μg/kg, repeated if necessary.
Scabies: topical application or oral administration, with an efficacy of over 90%.
• Other explorations: anti-cancer (inducing apoptosis, inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin pathway), antiviral and other studies, but clinical evidence is limited.
2. Veterinary medicine and agriculture:
• For gastrointestinal nematodes and external parasites (such as maggots and mites) of cattle, sheep and pigs, subcutaneous injection or oral dose of 0.2 mg/kg.
• Agricultural pesticides: control plant nematodes and pests, safer than traditional pesticides.
