Black pepper extract powder is derived from the immature fruit of the Piper nigrum plant of the Piperaceae family and is made through steam distillation or ethanol extraction. Its core active ingredient is piperine, which can reach 4.5%~98% (depending on the specifications), and contains volatile oils (such as caryophyllene, limonene), monoterpenes and other ingredients. It has a light brown to dark brown powder appearance, a spicy aroma, and medium water solubility. It is widely used in food, medicine and daily chemical fields.
