Jerusalem artichoke extract powder is derived from the Asteraceae plant Helianthus tuberosus (also known as Jerusalem artichoke) and is prepared by water extraction, ethanol extraction or supercritical CO2 technology. Its core active ingredient is inulin, a soluble dietary fiber, with a content usually ≥90% (HPLC detection). It appears as a white to light yellow powder with moderate water solubility and a slightly sweet taste. Jerusalem artichoke is native to North America and is used in traditional medicine to regulate blood sugar and intestinal health. Modern research focuses on its metabolic regulation, antioxidant and prebiotic functions. |

1. Medicine and health products
• Diabetes management: compounded with bitter melon extract and cinnamon to make sugar-control capsules (recommended dose 300-500mg/day).
• Intestinal conditioning: added to yogurt and granules as a prebiotic to improve intestinal flora imbalance.
2. Food industry
• Natural preservative: replace sodium benzoate and used to preserve meat products (inhibit microbial activity).
• Functional beverages: low GI meal replacement powder, sports supplements (such as improving endurance).
3. Cosmetics
• Moisturizing essence: formulas containing 0.5%-1% extract can increase skin moisture content and repair the barrier.
